[Eng] Traditionally, the image of the Prophet is linked to that of the person who is able to provide predictions about the future, much more of others than of himself, much more about the world than about his own life. The world became accustomed to treating the Prophet as someone in this condition, because of truly historical figures and others more symbolic, in addition to several characters with these characteristics cited in various scriptures. But a Prophet is more than this, and his importance is much more in support of a set of beliefs and principles than in his proper predictive ability of the future, although both conditions are true.

This is how Rosicrucianism treats the figure of the Prophet. Prophets exist, support a system of beliefs and principles, have the ability to predict and do predict future events about oneself and others. Every Rosicrucian exercises his ability to prophesy, and it is a constant practice of all Rosicrucians throughout human history. Indeed, it can be said that the Rosicrucian chooses to condition his psychic body and his mind to a mechanism defined and provoked by his own will, with the intention of prophesying, with a view to rendering such a latent capacity more humanly and more under control, contrary to what usually happens with people who possess this developed capacity but end up being victims of visions, dreams, intuitions, without performing the proper work of foment and interpretation of the phenomenon.

Thinking more broadly, which I think is more interesting and pertinent to Mysticism, the Prophet is the one who warns. A warning is something loaded with force and presupposes causal relationships involved in the actions of men and nature. Something like “if you do, that will happen” or “if you do not avoid such a thing, you will suffer such consequences,” and so on. Extrapolate this and you will see that something like “if the human species does not stop polluting the atmosphere life will become unsustainable quickly” is a statement exactly with the same essence of the previous generic settings. A warning. A catastrophic Prophecy. Something a Prophet says.

The warning is interesting from the point of view of a Rosicrucian Prophet because it can be done by virtue of easily identified violations of Cosmic Laws, Laws which are known to the mystic. This is a situation where the Prophet becomes quite efficient and where his Philosophy and Wisdom is enormously and nobly applied. It should be noted that this does not necessarily imply the need to offer very specific or very detailed predictions about one or a few persons, but rather much broader, more comprehensive, meaningful and no less precise predictions.

A Rosicrucian developed in this mystical path is a prophet by nature, his prophecies end up being transmitted to the outside world in one form or another, being they simple warnings or true predictions. The Rosicrucian is only a channel of transmission of knowledge of the Cosmic, Universal Mind behind the creation of all things, and this knowledge is timeless and can be characterized as historical knowledge or as prophecy. As long as there is a Rosicrucian present in the Universe there will be a veiled prophet, one who is satisfied in the Rosicrucian service without making a point of having his identity revealed, qualified or characterized. Someone disseminating information not for itself, but for the glory of the Creator.

[Por] Tradicionalmente, a imagem do Profeta é ligada à da pessoa capaz de fornecer previsões acerca do futuro, muito mais de outrem do que de si mesmo, muito mais sobre o mundo do que sobre sua própria vida. O mundo se acostumou ao tratar o Profeta como alguém nesta condição, em função de figuras verdadeiramente históricas e outras mais simbólicas, além de vários personagens com estas características citados em diversas escrituras. Porém, um Profeta é mais do que isto, e sua importância está muito mais no suporte a um conjunto de crenças e princípios do que propriamente em sua capacidade preditiva do futuro, embora ambas as condições sejam verdadeiras.

Esta é a forma como o Rosacrucianismo trata a figura do Profeta. Profetas existem, suportam um sistema de crenças e princípios, possuem a capacidade de prever e predizer eventos futuros sobre si mesmo e sobre os outros. Todo Rosacruz exercita sua capacidade de profetizar, sendo a mesma uma prática constante de todos os Rosacruzes ao longo de toda a história humana. Com efeito, pode-se dizer que o Rosacruz opta por condicionar seu corpo psíquico e sua mente a um mecanismo definido e provocado por sua própria vontade, com o intuito de profetizar, visando tornar mais objetiva tal capacidade latente nos seres humanos e mais sob controle, ao contrário do que costuma ocorrer com pessoas que possuem esta capacidade desenvolvida mas acabam sendo vitimas de visões, sonhos, intuições, sem realizar o devido trabalho de fomento e interpretação do fenômeno.

Pensando de uma maneira mais ampla, que julgo ser mais interessante e pertinente ao Misticismo, o Profeta é aquele que avisa. Um aviso é algo carregado de força e pressupõe relações de causalidade envolvidas nas ações dos homens e da natureza. Algo como “se você fizer isso, acontecerá aquilo” ou “se você não evitar tal coisa, sofrerá tais consequências”, e assim por diante. Extrapole isso e você verá que algo como “se a espécie humana não parar de poluir a atmosfera a vida acabará ficando insustentável rapidamente” é uma colocação exatamente com a mesma essência das colocações genéricas anteriores. Um aviso. Uma Profecia catastrófica. Algo que um Profeta diz.

O aviso é interessante do ponto de vista de um Profeta Rosacruz porque pode ser feito em virtude de violações facilmente identificadas de Leis Cósmicas, Leis que são de conhecimento do místico. Esta é uma situação onde o Profeta torna-se bastante eficiente e onde sua Filosofia e Sabedoria é enormemente e mais nobremente aplicada. Percebe-se que, com isso, não necessariamente o Profeta se prende à necessidade de oferecer previsões muito específicas ou muito detalhadas sobre uma ou poucas pessoas, e sim previsões muito mais amplas, abrangentes, significativas e não menos precisas.

Um Rosacruz desenvolvido nesta senda mística é um profeta por natureza, suas profecias acabam sendo veiculadas ao mundo exterior de uma forma ou de outra, sendo elas simples avisos ou verdadeiras previsões. O Rosacruz é apenas um canal de transmissão de conhecimento do Cósmico, a Mente Universal por trás da criação de todas as coisas, e este conhecimento é atemporal, podendo ser caracterizado como conhecimento histórico ou como profecia. Enquanto houver um Rosacruz presente no Universo haverá um profeta velado, alguém que se satisfaz no serviço Rosacruz sem fazer questão de ter sua identidade revelada, qualificada ou caracterizada. Alguém disseminando informação não por si, mas pela glória do Criador.
